I am a parent of a gay child (now adult) who went to Rainbow's end from the age of 15 through graduation from high school. Although my daughter has had complete support from myself and her immediate family, in addition to many friends, I know having a safe place to go and hang out, talk, and listen to and with peers had an impact on her ability to go out into the world with confidence. She was also on the Speaker's Bureau. Her positive experiences at Rainbow's end will stay with her through her lifetime, and extend to others. The youth program facilitators at the time were (and are) great, caring, supportive people, as is Casey. Thank you, Spectrum, for being here for all of us, and thanks Outbeat Youth for being a voice for the youth community.

I also enjoyed listening to the segment profiling Junior Vega, and am going to follow up on his suggestion to watch "Shelter"---I'm all set to watch it on Netflix now :)
