This fall we are going to highlight several Gay Straight Alliance organizations from local high schools. We begin in September talking with members of the Montgomery High School GSA about their experience on campus. We’ll ask them about why having a GSA is so important for supporting LGBT youth.
You won’t want to miss this show as we will have some exciting news about an LGBT youth talent show that will air next May. We’re going to give you a chance to show off your talents on the radio for the world to hear. If you write poetry, short stories, write music, or love to sing and perform, you can be part of this exciting talent show. Tune in to our next show for details.

My name is Greg Miraglia and I am the host and producer of Outbeat Youth, a regular segment on the Outbeat Now! radio program on KRCB Radio of Santa Rosa, California. Outbeat Youth is for and about queer youth in the North Bay Area of California.
So often, queer youth are left in the shadows of their straight peers and never get the recognition they deserve. The fact is that there are may young people who identify as gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, and transgender who are doing some amazing things at their schools and communities. Our goal is to share the stories of these young people with the greater community. We are also here to support the many incredible organizations that support queer youth including Positive Images, Spectrum, and the many gay straight alliances that exist in our high schools and colleges. Tune in to find out what queer youth are up to in our community.
